Serves 4

What you need:

  • 4 Bartlett Pears (washed and dried)
  • 1 Bottle of Red Wine
  • 1 Tablespoon Whole Cloves
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • Whipped Cream or Gelato for topping if desired

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Wash pear and place whole in a deep baking dish.
  3. Cover and bake for about 60 minutes. Remove and allow to cool.
  4. Add 1 cup of cooking liquid to skillet. Simmer on high for 30 minutes or until liquid becomes syrupy.
  5. Pour over pears and serve with whipped cream or gelato if desired. Enjoy!
